Search no further for a young and vivacious red than Salentein Portillo Malbec! The name, Portillo, or ‘gateway’ in Spanish, reflects the origin of the grapes - near the high elevation crossings along the Andes Mountain Range. With cooler climate, closer proximity to the sun and the addition of melted glacier water for irrigation, wines produced there are of unrivalled quality! Bursts of wild plum, blackberry in the air while redcurrant, black cherry flavours dance around the mouth in every sip. Sweet round tannins and lovely hints of cinnamon and cloves at the finish. Best with a sizzling lamb burger with feta cheese or a simple beef and broccoli stir-fry.

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
