Seductive and luscious, this Chianti Classico Riserva is the premium version of its brother, Chianti Classico, with more aromas and complexity – in this case, Carpineto chose to age the wine longer than the two years required by appellation rules for a Riserva, resulting in this special library release. Strong palate of dark red fruit, roasted coffee and vanilla with pleasant earthy notes of oak, tobacco and leather. Velvety and robust with firm tannins and a smooth, dry finish. The absolute perfect companion to hearty roasts (why not go for roast goose?), rich tomato-based dishes or even some beef brisket noodles.

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
