As the Romans used to pray to Anaperenna, Goddess of the New Year, for longevity, so do drinkers of this gorgeous Shiraz Cabernet blend for a good time! The fruit for Glaetzer's 2013 Anaperenna hail from very old vines (80-130 years old!) of the famed Ebenzer sub-region of Barossa Valley. Elegant and complex, the wine expresses itself through a nose of black currant, licorice and anise, with luscious flavours of rich chocolate and dark berries with fresh acidity. This is an ideal one for your cellar, where it can stay for 18+ years and will evolve beautifully. This divine wine deserves an equally exquisite food pairing – think roasted rack of lamb or a seared Kobe beef steak!

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
