Craiglee

Sunbury, Australia

Craiglee Winery’ winegrowing potential was discovered in 1863 but after a long hiatus, it was resurrected to its former glory in the early 70s. Located in Sunbury, just outside of Melbourne, Patrick Carmody replanted vines on his family farm site and released his first vintage in 1978. The rest, as they say, is history. In just forty years, Craiglee has become one of the best producers of Shiraz and Chardonnay in the region. Not only do they have numerous accolades to show for, Craiglee Shiraz has been included in the esteemed Langton’s Classification of Australia Wines (an honour roll for the finest Aussie wines produced – the auction house independently ranked and revised every 5 years, based on the wines’ auction pedigree). Their wines are highly-coveted around the world for its ‘wonderful balance, length and gentle power’.
