Louis Guntrum is as rich with history as it is with winegrowing experience. Established in 1600s in Rheinhessen, along the left banks of Rhein River, the Guntrums were forced to escape to the right banks during the French Revolution. Only in 1909 when the family returned home to Rheinhessen and settled into the prestigious vineyards of Nierstein and Oppenheim. Now at the 11th generation, Louis Konstantin Guntrum protects the family heritage and brings the winery to modern times. From dry (not all German wines are sweet!) to lusciously sweet, Louis Guntrum wines are enjoyed in over 80 countries.
