Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millénaires 2014
Champagne, France

Regular price $1,814.00
We all know that any bottle from Charles Heidsieck is exceptional, but certain ones are legendary: Blanc des Millénaires is such a Champagne! Since 1983, only 8 cuvées have been produced, and the intense, powerful 2014 vintage reflects the House's emphasis on time – it took nine years of patience for three Cellar Masters to create this masterpiece! This elegant, rich wine is dazzlingly crystal clear with a fine stream of bubbles, boasting its incredible freshness and purity with every memorable sip. On the nose, luxe experience unfolds in three stages: first, fresh mineral and saline aromas; second, fruity with kiwi and citrus; finally, definitive House scents of puff pastry, brioche, dates and ripe and dried apricot. Notes of fresh blood orange, hazelnuts and toasted almonds, with deep saltiness and hints of mild tobacco and eucalyptus. The palate reflects the delicate, subtle notes of the nose, with brilliant depth and elegance thanks to pristine Chardonnay grapes. Deliciously voluptuous, chalky texture with a seemingly never-ending finish! Enjoy this bottle with grilled tiger prawns or beef carpaccio dressed with capers, toasted hazelnuts, anchovies and sun-dried tomatoes.
