Your turn to cook this evening? Not a problem. Château de Pierreux Brouilly will take care of you. This handsome chateau is in the heart of the gently rolling Beaujolais landscape, with vineyards stretch over hectares in the Brouilly appellation, one of the 10 Crus of the region. Gorgeously deep purple, the wine opens with a bouquet of floral notes, perfectly ripe dark fruit and spices, with lovely flavours of blueberry and peony. Dense and elegant with silky smooth tannins and a touch of minerality. It's the perfect warmer weather red: serve this bottle slightly chilled 16-18oC, ideally alongside cedar planked salmon or sweet soy-glazed spareribs. Great while young, but made to age well, too.

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
