Arancio Cantodoro Rosso Riserva brilliantly combines two beloved souls of Sicily – the native Nero d’Avola, and international transplant Cabernet Sauvignon – and what a gorgeous result! Nero d’Avola's ripe blackberry, wild strawberry and raspberry character integrate beautifully with Cabernet Sauvignon's currants and red fruit. Together they create a wine with lovely aromas of intense blackberry, raspberry and cranberry, alongside notes of liquorice, tobacco, plum and vanilla. Rich and refined on the palate with excellent depth, plus beautiful complexity and structure from thoughtful ageing in oak barriques. Serve slightly chilled with a hearty spaghetti bolognese, or grill up some swordfish steaks drizzled with ginger-soy reduction!
