The Barrel Selection series is definitely unique to Bodega Salentein. Made only with single grape varietal, the vines are grown strategically between 1,050 and 1,700 metres above sea level, meaning the fruit receives clean meltwater from the Andes mountains. While the stony soil cools down the vines in the evening, the sunshine during the day creates enough heat and dryness to showcase the Uco Valley ‘terroir’. Their Cabernet Franc is one not to be missed - a gorgeous wine that can be enjoyed now. Rich and well-balanced, this wine offers attractive blackcurrant, blueberry and cassis aromas interlaced with hints of liquorice, mint and spicy tobacco. Earthy tones with layers of blackberry, raspberry, chocolate, leather and distinct hints of green herbs. Subtle vanilla and spice lingering finish. Why not give this a go with a lamb burger with garlic mint sauce and chips on the side?

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
