Charles Heidsieck Brut Millésimé 2012 - a miracle wine and one of the classics of the house! 2012 was a challenging vintage - a chaotic spring pestered with mildew, unending rain, hailstorms, and cold-fronts and followed by heat and water stress. But the weather gods lifted it all by granting a beautiful sunny summer, which allowed fruits to flourish into a late harvest. Creamy brioche toasted aroma with fresh almond, quince, apricot and hints of licorice and smoke. Crispy green apple and citrus flavours with fresh peach, vanilla, and a touch of mineral. Dynamic yet delicate bubbles and a lively, smooth finish. A perfect wine for strong flavour pairings such as crispy smoked eel or even smoked Scamorza cheese with prosciutto crudo. The 2012 is lauded as one of the great Champagne vintages, why not keep a few more bottles in your cellar for future enjoyment!

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
