We searched long and hard for fabulous great value drinking red Bordeaux and we think we may have hit the jackpot! Château Preuillac Médoc Cru Bourgeois 2013 ticks all the boxes for us AND we don’t feel guilty having some every day. ‘Cru Bourgeois’ has been a designation of quality wine ever since the Middle Ages (because citizens or ‘bourgeois’, residents of the ‘burgh’ or bourg of Bordeaux had the region’s best lands!). Château Preuillac Médoc Cru Bourgeois’ intense raspberry-red colour theme channels into its aromas, with lovely notes of ripe red berries. Bright morello cherry flavour, as well as blackberry, blackcurrant with hints of leather, spice, and cocoa. Lingering subtle layers of tobacco, liquorice and vanilla at the finish. Make your day even better by pairing this with grilled rack of lamb or roasted pigeon!

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
