A celebration of some of Chile's most remote vineyards, Las Olvidadas is a distinctive and complex wine made from some very, very old Santa Cruz Vineyard vines – up to 300 years! Using a traditional process, local winemakers push the fruit through a "zaranda" – an Itata Valley tool made of wood and canes that separates the stems from the berries, which fall into open bins to be vinified with native yeasts. Sensationally aromatic with plush notes of aromas of red fruit, native herbs and spices like white pepper. Intense in the mouth with concentrated fruit flavours, with chunky tannins that add lovely texture and combine perfectly with the wine's fresh acidity. Elegant with lots of length – ready to drink now with potential for another 15 years in the cellar! Serve slightly chilled, ideally with a fatty roast duck or claypot mushroom rice.

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
