Terroir plays a huge role at the Domaine Michel Girard estate, where each of Sancerre's three key soil types – les Caillottes, les Terres Blanches, and Silex – come together to make a lot of magic! Made from hand-picked Sauvignon Blanc grapes that have been fermented with indigenous yeast, this Sancerre Blanc 2022 is a beautifully balanced, expressive wine that's naturally elegant and complex. Lovely (but never overpowering!) herbal notes with layers of mouthwatering green apple and lemon. Sweet hints of dried apple slices and a little peach, with nice minerality, too! This wine hails from the heart of "goat cheese country", so enjoy it with the soft, tangy type – or try with Thai steamed fish with lemongrass!

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
