As the Romans used to pray to Anaperenna, Goddess of the New Year, for longevity, so do drinkers of this gorgeous blend for a good time! All of the fruit for Glaetzer's 2020 Anaperenna hail from very old vines (30-100 year old Shiraz and 30-130 year old Cabernet!) of the famed Ebenzer sub-region of Barossa Valley. Opulent and refined, this wine harmonises fine aromas of crushed herbs, fresh black fruit with touches of anise, spice and coffee. Fine Cabernet tannins provide the structural framework for the flesh and fruit driven nature of the Shiraz. A dense yet savoury palate with depth and boldness also exhibiting an elegant restraint. This makes a great addition to your cellar collection as it ages beautifully (20+ years, my friend). Or, allow it to open for half hour and this bottle will literally sing! Ideal accompaniment to venison with red wine sauce.

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
