With its warm, dry summers, and cool, wet winters, McLaren Vale is a very happy home for the Iberian varietals native to Spain and Portugal, and this wine brilliantly showcases the powerful floral aromas and mouthwatering fruit character Mencía grapes are known for. Aromas of sour cherry, pomegranate, liquorice and crushed stone lure you in, with fruity waves of blackcurrant and raspberry in the mouth, plus lively tannins and minerality. Medium-bodied, intense and moreish! Decant and serve cool with Xinjiang-spiced grilled lamb skewers or a pepper-crusted steak.
