Need a bottle of red that doesn’t need much thinking while you’re Netflixxing? Moillard Savigny Les Beaunes Vieilles Vignes is going to be your friend - it’s delightful, enjoyable and wonderful to have as your go-to Pinot Noir! Although burgundies are getting pricier by the day, the Savigny, while crafted from old vine fruit (ie. less fruit from the vines but more concentrated and higher quality), is fantastic value and drinks like any higher-priced reds from the region. It’s elegant with lovely floral aromas, fresh blackcurrant, cherry and raspberry. These flavours carry through as you have your first sip with the intensity building up to slightly toasted flavours, with hints of cedar and cigar box. Delicate yet persistent finish with fine tannins. You know what makes this even better? Pairing it with a charcuterie board, complete with Brie and young Gouda. OR, why not Japanese chicken curry with winter squash (curry + TV, yay)?

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
