Not only did it have the legendary Antonia Ferreira (aka ‘The Ferreirinha’, the pioneer in the Portugal’s table wines) as its original owner, this quinta was monumental in defining the world’s first official demarcated wine region in relation to wine quality. Located in Duoro, Quinta de Porrais crafts premium quality wines using the region’s celebrated indigenous grape varieties. In 2011, the estate partnered with the Santos Lima family – a move that strengthens this quinta’s ability to produce their much-loved wines sought by many around the world!
