Frustrated in the lack of quality Sangiovese in his home turf, Umberto left his family restaurant business in Bologna and embarked on a beautiful journey with his wife in bringing his dream to reality. That was over 60 years ago. Today, Umberto Cesari, carved himself a niche, both in Italy and on the global stage, as the Master of Sangiovese, producing award-winning and internationally acclaimed Sangiovese wines. Located in Castel San Pietro Terme, Emilia Romagna, the family estate grew phenomenally over the years spanning over 170 hectares. With the philosophy that each wine has a soul and a unique story to tell, the team ensures all vineyard work is carefully done by hand for grape integrity. At the same time, state-of-the-art technology is brought in for quality.
