With limited bottles produced, Carpineto Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is made with grapes sourced only from a 2-hectare vineyard in Dudda, Greve – the coolest area in the region. This bottle is a shining example of "Gran Selezione", a relatively new designation for the finest expression of this style of wine. Wines from this area also offer great structure and concentration, meaning they're made to cellar well and destined for absolute harmony with time! Expect an abundant, brilliantly long-lasting bouquet of wild berries interlaced with spicy notes and a hint of vanilla that continues to gain complexity. This wine's elegant nature continues on the palate with gorgeous flavours, pleasant mouthfeel and lingering finish. An absolutely divine match with a charcoal-fired, rare Floretine steak, and equally succulent with crackly-skinned siu yuk.

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
