Brunello di Montalcino is one of Italy’s most prestigious wines and made exclusively from Sangiovese Grosso grapes grown on the slopes of Montalcino – a picturesque Tuscan village just south of Siena. Needless to say, Carpineto’s Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is one of the highly sought-after bottles from that region! Crafted with only the best grapes from an already exceptional vintage and aged a little longer (hence ‘Rieserva’), this wine is intensity, complexity and elegance combined. Seductive arrays of wild berry, plum, leather with hints of warm spice, juniper and garrigue on the nose. Ripe black fruit and fresh raspberry flavours with gentle layers of vanilla, spice, and smoke. Great structure with soft tannins. Allow this wine to breathe beforehand for even more silkiness! A definite win with chicken cacciatore or a short rib and mushroom ragu over pappardelle.

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
