A long-standing, iconic Aussie favourite for the past five decades, Church Block was actually the first wine produced under the Wirra Wirra label; named after one of its original vineyards next to the small Bethany Church located across the road from their century-old cellars. This dark crimson beauty opens with expressive dark berry notes, with aromas of blackberry and Satsuma plum layered with hints of thyme, star anise and five-spice, with soft undertones of roasted coffee and graphite. Bursting with fresh, juicy bunches of ripe blackberry and Elephant Heart plum, balanced with savoury notes of prosciutto and dried herbs. Grainy, even tannins highlight this wine's harmony through a long, fine finish. This easy-drinking wine is a lively one! Beautiful to enjoy now, with the potential to age over the next 15 years. Savour it with Mongolian beef and bell pepper stir-fry, or Portuguese beef stew.

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
