Seductive and luscious, this Chianti Classico Riserva is the premium version of its brother, Chianti Classico, with more aromas and complexity – in this case, Carpineto chose to age the wine longer than the two years required by appellation rules for a Riserva, resulting in this special library release. Elegant and lasting aromas of raspberry and vanilla; flavours of dark red fruit, roasted coffee and vanilla with pleasant earthy notes of oak, tobacco and leather. Velvety and robust with firm tannins and a smooth, dry finish. The absolute perfect companion to hearty roasts (why not go for roast goose?), rich tomato-based dishes or even some beef brisket noodles.

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
