Though perhaps not was well-known as its neighbour, Brunello di Montalcino, Carpineto Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva an equally great wine in a more elegant style! With "Nobile" in the name, a term used historically for wine produced exclusively for aristocratic or noble families, this bottle is as exceptional as you'd expect. This wine is aromatic with tantalising spices, packed with juicy dark fruits, vanilla and cloves. Hints of velvety plum, cherry, tobacco and oak play on the tongue. Lovely with a wild boar ragu over ribbons of fresh tagliatelle, or with roast goose!
