A taste of Spain from the south of Australia? Mind. Blown. Hewitson Basham’s Beach Vineyard Tempranillo will surely keep you guessing! This wine is only released during the best vintages (2012 is their second release in a decade) so it’s right to say that it’s limited in supply. Generous black cherry with hints of licorice and black olives, followed by scents of fresh leather, tobacco, and scorched earth. A medley of black berry plum, cocoa and coffee flavours continue on the palate as layers of raisin, cinnamon and vanilla flow through. Grippy tannins and great length. A wine that really impresses! Perfect for spicy sausages with parmesan polenta.
