Dean Hewitson tells us this wine shows magnificent character, uniquely expressing its origin, so it qualifies for Private Cellar status. Hand-crafted with fruit from century-old, dry grown bush vines in Rowland Flat, Hewitson Private Cellar Grenache is striking as it is delicate. Beautiful aromas of rose and pomegranate with layers of fresh raspberry, strawberry, cherry and hints of orange-peel and Provencal herbs. Juicy forest fruity flavour initially, with savoury and earthy tones as it evolves. Smooth and supple with fine tannins. Tantalize those tastebuds when you pair this gem with beef bulgolgi or charred cauliflower with almond chimichurri.

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
