Louis Guntrum is hailed as one of the Riesling masters and the Spätlese Nierstein Rehbach shows just that. As a Spätlese, it is considered the lightest of the late harvest wines, this particular one offers a delightful medium sweetness. Coming from one of the best vineyard sites in Neirstein, this gem is floral and elegant. Tropical notes of lime, orange blossom and ripe tangerine, followed by luscious flavours of lychee, melon and pineapple. Subtle layers of honey, dried apricot and sultana in between. Great level of acidity make this wine incredibly well-balanced and moreish. “Sugar, spice, and everything nice” is not just a phrase – sweet wines and spice do work well! Not convinced? Have a go with a red Thai prawn curry and see what you think!

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
