Matsu continues their journey to handcraft exquisite wines from pre-phylloxera vines of the Toro region with their latest edition: their first white wine, La Jefa (aka The Boss). As Toro is renowned for its unctuous red wines, La Jefa is here to resurrect the forgotten whites for the world to savour! Plots of white grapes are hard to find within the region, therefore fruit used in this wine was sourced from multitudes of scattered parcels that are cultivated naturally in the Toro tradition. This golden gem is rich with ripe stone fruit aromas, banana, wild honey, and aniseed bounded by hints of vanilla creaminess. Medium-bodied with great acidity. A wine with boundless versatility – enjoy The Boss with truffle risotto, seafood gumbo or even a chicken korma!

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
