A name that is close to the heart – not only are the vineyards located in the Plantagenet Shire of Mount Barker, winery founder, Tony Smith also has lineage back to the English royal house, Plantagenets! Lancaster, a key family within the House of Plantagenets, is no exception. An ultra-premium Red, Plantagenet Lancaster Shiraz 2018 is definitely one fit for a royal! Fragrant, luxurious yet subtle, the Lancaster Shiraz requires a proper sit-down enjoyment in order to do it justice. Beautiful layered flavours of dark fruit, violet, white pepper and graphite. Blackberry, dark chocolate, leather and dark soy notes with hints of 5-spice and char. Lingering, fine and slightly savoury finish. Round up your vino gang for this beauty with a char roasted lamb leg with roasted root veggies or a hearty venison stew.

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
