A name that is close to the heart – not only are the vineyards located in the Plantagenet Shire of Mount Barker, winery founder, Tony Smith also has lineage back to the English royal house, Plantagenets! Lancaster, a key family within the House of Plantagenets, is no exception. An ultra-premium Red, Plantagenet Lancaster Shiraz 2018 is definitely one fit for a royal! Luxurious yet subtle, the Lancaster Shiraz requires a proper sit-down in order to do it justice. Wonderfully aromatic with dark and blue fruits, white pepper, graphite, violets and subtly savoury notes of graphite and char. Beautiful balanced layers of dark fruit and spice on the palate with hints of dark soy, violet and graphite, with 5-spice and char through the lingering finish. Grab this bottle and round up the gang for a Sunday roast of charred lamb and roasted root veggies!

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
