A genuine classic that all Shiraz lovers should have on their trusty go-to list! Schubert Syrah comes from the cool Martinborough region in New Zealand, offering clean and precise flavours and aromas. A great blend of ripe dark fruit, herbs and forest floor aromas with layers of cinnamon, spice, char and a tinge of floral. Ripe blackberry and wild raspberry flavours carry through with chocolate, cracked black pepper and thyme. Let the wine sit for a little longer and it opens up more with black cherry, a bit of open fire, and a bit more spice. Firm tannins with a stunningly long and gamey finish. Fantastic bottle with a lentil, mushroom and aubergine stew packed with fragrant herbs or grilled Toulouse sausages! But if you’re a patient person, you will reap a further reward from cellaring a few bottles for the future. Limited production (only 163 cases).

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
