Remarkable, impeccable – that is what Chook Block vineyard to the Wirra Wirra tribe! Named after late Greg Trott’s original broiler chicken (chooks for the Aussies) sheds nearby, Chook Block produces extremely small parcels of perfect high-quality fruit from time to time. Planted in 1960 and nurtured biodynamically, only four vintages were ever made - 1998, 2002, 2006 and 2010. And now with its 5th vintage release, only 9 dozen bottles produced in 2014 vintage! Let your senses go wild with its seductive fragrances – violet, cassis with lifted raspberry, plum and blackberry and a touch of fresh cedar and five spice. Perfectly balanced flavours of boysenberry, blackberry with luscious dark chocolate. Savoury, opulent and super fine tannins. Give this bottle a half-hour breathing lead time while you order some Korean barbeque, and let the magic unfold as you tuck in!
