“Life shouldn’t be taken so seriously” has always been the motto of the late Greg Trott of Wirra Wirra Wines and the Scrubby Rise Shiraz is exactly that! The named vineyard sits on a flat plane of ancient rocks, yet it is ironically called “Scrubby” aka bushy (oh, Aussie humour!). This shiraz is deep, bold, and smooth with a slide edge. Dark fruits come through especially cassis and rich plum with a touch of hazelnuts, fruitcake, and dark chocolate shavings. Slightly savoury and black peppery finish. A delightful addition to kebabs with chargrilled veggies on the side!

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
