“Life shouldn’t be taken so seriously” has always been the motto of the late Greg Trott of Wirra Wirra Wines and the Scrubby Rise Shiraz is exactly that! The named vineyard sits on a flat plane of ancient rocks, yet it is ironically called “Scrubby” aka bushy (oh, Aussie humour!). This expressive and youthful shiraz offers a captivating balance of bright freshness and rich, concentrated flavours. Plump raspberries come through on the nose along with dark plum, vanilla and coffee bean. Expect a party in the mouth with bunches of berry fruits mingling with vanilla, coffee and more fruitiness! A delightful addition hearty mushroom ragout or eggplant stir-fried with garlic sauce.

Here's how to interpret the ratings (in case you were wondering what's that number below the price). If you don't see a rating, it doesn't mean the wine is any less yummy. At the end of the day, wine is meant to be enjoyed and shared.
