Langhorne Creek, Australia
Established in 1850, Bleasdale is the oldest winery in Langhorne Creek, South Australia. Behind the label is an extraordinary man named Frank Potts with his legendary tale. Frank not only began his career at a young age of 9 as the “powder monkey” in the British Navy, he travelled the world three times before settling down south at aged 21. And by his 35th birthday, he created his idyllic winery (great CV eh?). When his sons were able to take over the daily operations, he went back to boat building, his first love.
Today, from cool climate whites of the Adelaide Hills to flavour-packed Langhorne Creek reds, the future is bright for Bleasdale. Not to mention, it was named James Halliday Winery of the Year 2024, and Paul Hotker was Winemaker of the Year 2018!
