Piedmont, Italy
Famed for its exquisite Barolo, Brovia was founded in 1863 by Giacinto Brovia in his home village of Castiglione Falletto. The family owns some of the finest plots of land in the Barolo region – including a selection of the best “cru” of Piedmont such as Rocche, Villero, Garblet Sue and Ca’Mia. Now run by two sisters, Cristina and Elena (and Elena’s husband, Alex!), the legacy and knowledge of 60+ vintages (yes, if you’re doing your maths, the estate lapsed for almost 30 years) still lives on strongly. There is no compromise to making wines with great personality, that faithfully reflect the richness of their great vineyards.
