Big news! The newly released 2026 James Suckling Champagne Report has awarded Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millénaires 2017 a perfect 100 points, placing the cuvée among the very finest Champagnes reviewed. Moreover, he ranked the wine at #2 on the Top 100 Wines of France 2026! A double feat!

Here's how Suckling described this outstanding bottle:
“A very precise Blanc de Millenaires with subtle aromas of honeysuckle, jasmine, stones, steel, chalk, watercress and some white peaches. Medium - to full - bodied with transparency and clarity that come through clearly and go on and on, the first year they used wine from the grand cru village of Chouilly. Complete and unique. Refined and structured at the same time. Drink or hold."

This achievement is all the more exciting because Suckling actually had the chance to taste the full lineup of Blanc des Millénaires vintages in June: 1983, 1985, 1990, 1995, 1996, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2014 and 2017! Experiencing the evolution of the cuvée across the years gave a unique perspective on its identity, consistency and ageing potential.
As a result, this outstanding 100-point score is a strong endorsement of Charles Heidsieck's commitment to crafting wines of depth and precision – and a powerful recognition of the distinctive identity of Blanc des Millénaires. A huge congrats to the House!
